Crisscross Catona Cushion Cover Revealed
Last week I shared a sneak peek of what I was working on with the brilliant Scheepjes *Catona. You can see that post here. But today let me reveal what I made with those colorful little yarny balls.
I'm calling it Crisscross Catona Cushion Cover. (Now that's an alliteration, huh?!)
I chose to use a simple linen stitch for the strips since it's probably one of my favorite stitches because of its clean, yet slightly textured, look.

I like the modern and simple look of this pillow cover. I also designed a removable cover, since we all know what it's like doing real living--things need to be cleaned. So, I added a simple hdc ribbed button closure for the back. With six random buttons from my stash (really, a stash of buttons at my house? tee hee), I think it makes a unique closure.
I hope you like it. It makes me happy. Come back next week for the free pattern--and my celebration of NatCroMo (National Crochet Month).
If you are interested in getting your hands on some Catona for yourself, you can find it from Wool Warehouse *here or Deramores *here. For this pillow I used 12 colors of Catona--one 25g ball of each color, with 2 additional 50 g balls for the pillow back. (If you want to know what colors I used, please look here.)
I'm scurrying off to work on one of my WIPs--you know I have several rolling on my hook right now--the trouble is deciding to get one finished. Is it only me with this problem? Have a splendiferous week!
