::Forgotten Crochet::
Do you ever make things, give them to someone, and then wish you had taken a photograph of them so you could remember them? I do. I often reflect on the many baby blankets, booties, hats, scarves, bags, baby toys and other goodies that I have made and never photographed.
Recently I recalled a little amigurumi doll
that I had made for my daughter several years back--a Coraline. I asked her to photograph it for me so I could "see" it again.
,,,movable arms, embroidered face, a buttoned-up slicker...
...and even a dragonfly clip in her hair! (This belonged to my daughter when she was a little girl, making it all the more special.)

Buttons eyes, a crazy blue bob (I would do this differently today), little ears...

I think it is altogether fun.
Although the design of the details (clothes, face and hair) was by me, I used the basic pattern shape of the doll from Elisabeth Doherty's Amigurumi book. It is an amazing book with lots of little tricks of the "amigurumi" trade that make such a difference in the finished product! Worth every penny, I think.
And looky looky what I got at the thrift store...
...for only $4!!!
Can you say, "SCORE!!" Lots of colorful, fabulous felt balls for "The Bag Lady!"--that's me, by the way. Did I ever tell you about the dozen or so bags I bought on my trip to Taiwan? Yes, I love bags. In fact, that's what's been on my mind lately...designing a bag--probably felted, probably colorful, probably with at least one button. Are you surprised? You shouldn't be. Remember this iPad bag?
I like color, and felt, and buttons, and whimsy. Yep. Suits me just fine.
I'm off on a yarn search for more yarn for my Falling Leaves pattern.
{On the Board} -- Not to spoil the ending for you, but everything is going to be OK.
Hugs.
