Crisscross Catona Cushion Cover Revealed

Last week I shared a sneak peek of what I was working on with the brilliant Scheepjes *Catona. You can see that post here. But today let me reveal what I made with those colorful little yarny balls.

I'm calling it Crisscross Catona Cushion Cover. (Now that's an alliteration, huh?!)

I chose to use a simple linen stitch for the strips since it's probably one of my favorite stitches because of its clean, yet slightly textured, look.

I like the modern and simple look of this pillow cover. I also designed a removable cover, since we all know what it's like doing real living--things need to be cleaned. So, I added a simple hdc ribbed button closure for the back. With six random buttons from my stash (really, a stash of buttons at my house? tee hee), I think it makes a unique closure.
