::Let's Twirl Blanket & Rug Ta-Dah::
I love the movie You've Got Mail--especially the part where Kathleen Kelly is describing a picture of her and her "enchanting" mother when she was a child. "We're twirling," she says. I used to do that a lot with my daughter when she was little. So, in honor of those wonderful memories...
the Let's Twirl Rug and Blanket!
Made in this size, it makes a wonderful squishy, swirly rug for a bath, entry, kid's room, nursery or kitchen.
Made a bit bigger--a fabulous crib blanket or play mat for little one (baby would have fun with the texture). Or bigger yet-- an afghan, coverlet or bedspread.
I think this zig-zaggy pattern is fun, too. A bit ripply,chevrony but with swirls, too.
The pattern is written with join-as-you-go instructions that are optional or you can choose your favorite method. Since I love little projects that are easy to take with me, and because you cut the yarn and reattach it again for the final joining round it is the ideal project for mobility.
I made this with a superwash wool so it is soft and easy to wash. I also wrote the pattern with a blank grid so that you can create one of your own with your favorite colors and in your desired size.
You can find the "Let's Twirl" pattern in my Felted Button Shop here or in my other shops...
