Teetering Tower Blanket Crochet Pattern

I'm so excited to share with you my latest crochet blanket pattern! It's something that came to me whilst playing with my abundant color-stash of Scheepjes *Colour Crafter.

There are so many lovely shades of pink and purple available, and they were just singing to me when I got an idea of stacked color--sort of like a tower of books or blocks that aren't stacked so straight. Hence, the name Teetering Tower Blanket!

Now tell me how cool this would be if each color block section looked like a "book spine" with a little title written on it? And the "stack" could be in any colors that suits your style. I'm going to have to play with this idea a bit. It would be such a great gift for a bookworm!

Of course, I really love the play of colors, but I'm loving the texture, too.

I classified the pattern as intermediate--but only because of the color changes across rows. Honestly, the stitches are super simple and good for mindless crocheting.

I'm also really pleased with the clean and simple border, too. It has that same "blocky" feel as the blanket and suits it well, I think.

I used 8 colors (10 skeins) of *Colour Crafter--a premium DK (light/3) acrylic yarn with a G (4mm) hook. You can read my thoughts on this yarn here, and see one of my free patterns that I offer, too. The blanket dimensions are 43” X 53” (109 cm X 135 cm) but can be changed up using the included multiples.
