One of my favorite things to do on a night drive is glance into homes with their lights on and shades open. Sound creepy? I hope not. I just love getting little peeks into other people's living spaces. It says so much about a person, I think. So, I thought I might share a peek into some of the crochet designs and vintage finds scattered about my abode...and maybe you can get to know me a bit...

This is my brain. This is my brain on crochet. Be quiet, would ya!? I really need to get some sleep! Seriously, hush!! So this is what I've been working on as of late, late, late--a MANDALA STOOL COVER!

About a month ago a friend that I had been teaching to crochet posted on Facebook that she wanted to start a crocheting club. I was all in! And it turned out that many more folks wanted in, too!

So it seems that now we have a gaggle of gals meeting twice monthly to hook, and chat, and share ideas, and help each other in more ways than just crochet. We take turns hosting and sit indoors or out,...

One day when I was about six, I came home from shopping at the local department store with my dad. We were there to buy a gift for my mother's birthday. When I got home, my mother, knowing me all too well, started inquiring about the "gift". The conversation went something like this:

Mom: Did you have fun shopping?
Me: We got you the prettiest gift, Mom!
Mom: Oh, and what is it?
Me: Well, I'm not...

As I was rifling through my studio yesterday, I came upon my way-too-big collection of Brighton tins--46 of those adorable little things I just can't seem to part with. I think I have compulsive-containerism. Oh, I want to put things in them. Like buttons, and bits of ribbon, and yarn trimmings, and...

Here is my latest crochet pattern. I am pleased as punch about how they came together. it is a terrifically simple pattern and uses a sweater sleeve so you can wear the cuff at any height. Easy peasy and pretty snazzy, huh?

My Melmac Barnacle Bowl is featured today at the top of Etsy Finds newsletter. How exciting! And a new pattern has just rolled off the hook, been photographed and sent to the testers. Who can stand the excitement!? Not me! Here's a little teaser...

My sweet daughter, Lizzie, spent the day with me a few weeks ago.
This is a big deal since she married last year. She is very busy with school, work, married life, and her photography. One thing we did between a trip to the thrift store, boutique shopping and eating our favorite food was to take a few shots for my shop.
